Lyndsay and Matthew Brentlinger from Toledo, Ohio, struggled for years to have a baby, and when Lyndsay finally got pregnant, at the 23rd week of pregnancy she was told that her son would be a still-born. Despite the predictions, William survived the birth on December 17th 2016.
It was the Sunday before Christmas, when photographer Lindsey Brown received a phone call asking if she could squeeze in a newborn photoshoot. She was about to cancel it, but then the friend of Lyndsay explained that William had only a few days to live because only the right side of his heart was functioning. The photos turned out to be magical. Even though William tragically passed away after 11 days, his beautiful soul will always shine through the touching photographs.

He looked like an angel sent to earth with his beautiful big eyes and soft hair
Sadly, he was born with a lot of abnormalities. The left side of his heart was not functioning
But he got to live with his family for 11 days until he tragically passed away
“They were the happiest 11 days of my life,” said Matthew
“Pictures are just memories,” said Brown. “I know how much people cherish them, so I was really glad I was able to do that for them”
“I cried the first time I looked at them. I still cry sometimes,” said Lyndsay
“They are beautiful and he is beautiful. In some of them, you can see he is wide awake with his big beautiful eyes. It’s something we will definitely cherish”
