26 Fascinating Mugshots of Criminals in the 1920s

Sometimes we stumble upon something that is just too good not to share, such as these fascinating vintage mugshots taken from the Justice & Police museum.

The vintage photographs were taken by the New South Wales Police Department, somewhere between 1910 and 1930. What is so interesting about them is that, back then, the criminals had the right to pose as they wished and in the clothes they were wearing at the time of their arrest, providing a unique look at 1920s crime, as well as the fashion at the time.
