Getting a tattoo can theoretically lead to a thoughtful addition to your appearance. Then again, it can also be an excellent way of turning a single drunken decision into a lifetime of regret and disfigurement — the kind that normally requires a car. That’s why it’s probably best that it’s against the law to tattoo anyone under the age of 18 without the parent’s permission.
But while Tattoo artist Benjamin Loyd might be bending the rules just a little, he’s doing it for all the right reasons! See, in order to boost their confidence and make them feel like a total badass, Benjamin ‘tats’ the children that are undergoing treatment at the Auckland’s Starship Children’s Hospital with custom spray on tattoos.
On Facebook he promised that he would paint all the sick kids at the hospital if he received 50 likes — the post received more than 250,000 of them. “I went to sleep and it had gone crazy overnight,” Benjamin laughed.
