Being a student in the Chinese village Atuler has to be tough. Just to get home from school, these kids have to make an incredible and terrifying journey that requires them to scale a 2,500ft cliff.

The kids climb rickety ladders and claw over bare rocks to make the perilous, 90 minute journey.

It requires them to climb a ladder, leading up to a 2,500ft rockface, to get between their homes and boarding school

In addition to the length of the trip, the ladders can be quite dangerous. According to the villagers, the ladders are as old as the community, meaning they’ve been there for hundreds of years

The village used to have an elevator but it cost too much money to run
