Teen Who Was Bullied For Her Incredibly Dark Skin Color Becomes A Model

19-year-old Senegalese model Khoudia Diop, who calls herself ‘Melanin Goddess,’ has taken Instagram by storm after she participated in a photoshoot for The “Colored” Girl Campaign. The platform was created to celebrate different skin shades and people were mesmerized with Khoudia’s beautifully rich skin tone. While now Khoudia has a following of 264k on Instagram and is pathing her way into the fashion industry, things have not always been so great for her. When she was a teenager, she was often bullied because of her dark skin.

“I was teased a lot growing up, because of my skin tone,” Khoudia, who now lives between Paris and New York, told the Daily Mail. “And now even online sometimes, people will make comments.
